Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 November 2026
In short: MyWidgetBox lets you create website widgets and add them to your website. You are responsible for what you put in your widgets. We work hard to keep the service running but can't promise it will never go wrong. Please read the details below.
1. Who we are
MyWidgetBox is run by MYWIDGETBOX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]). In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean MYWIDGETBOX LTD, and "you" means the person or business using MyWidgetBox.
2. Using the service
By creating an account or using MyWidgetBox you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a legally binding agreement. If you use MyWidgetBox for a business, you confirm you have authority to agree to these terms for that business.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us straight away at support@mywidgetbox.co.uk if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Your widgets and content
You own the content you add to your widgets, such as your business name, messages, phone numbers and images. You give us permission to store it and to show it on the websites where you install your widget code, because that is how the service works.
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you add, and that it is lawful. For example, a WhatsApp widget must use a phone number you are entitled to use. Information in a widget's public settings (such as the text, colours and WhatsApp number) can be read by anyone who visits a website that shows the widget, so please don't put anything private in a widget.
5. What you must not do
- Use MyWidgetBox for anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or harmful.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's rights, or that is hateful, deceptive or contains malware.
- Try to break, overload, copy or interfere with the service, or access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Use the service to send spam or unwanted marketing.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
6. Installing widgets on your website
You are responsible for adding the installation code to your website and for making sure its use there is lawful, including any notices or consents your own website needs. Widgets are designed to work on websites that allow custom code, but we can't promise they will work on every website builder or device.
7. Plans, prices and payment
MyWidgetBox is a paid subscription service. Our plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and again at checkout before you pay. Prices are in pounds sterling. We will not charge you without showing you the price first.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you can keep using your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling stops future charges only. We do not refund payments already made or part-used periods, except where the law requires us to. Nothing in these terms affects any legal rights you have as a consumer.
If a payment fails: we will try to take payment again and let you know. If it still can't be collected, your widgets will stop showing on your websites until your subscription is back in good standing. We do not delete your widgets or settings when this happens. They stay in your account, and your widgets will start working again once payment succeeds or you choose a plan.
Payments are handled by a payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep MyWidgetBox available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If we make a change that significantly harms how you use a paid plan, we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
If your widgets are used so heavily that they affect the service for other customers, we will contact you first to talk about a solution before taking any action.
9. Our responsibility to you
We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have predicted, or for loss of profit, sales or business opportunity caused by a widget being unavailable. Our total responsibility to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any rights you have by law as a consumer.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using MyWidgetBox at any time. To close your account and delete your data, email support@mywidgetbox.co.uk. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. When an account closes, its widgets will stop working on your websites.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you by email if a change is significant. Continuing to use MyWidgetBox after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can settle any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also have the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
